March 6: His Majesty the King granted an audience to the members of the newly constituted Royal Civil Service Commission (RCSC) at the Tashichhodzong this morning.The members include the RCSC Chairperson Thinley Gyamtsho and Commissioners Prithiman Pradhan, Kinley Yangzom, Bachu Phub Dorji and the former Samtse Dzongda Sangay Dorji.
The appointments were made last month as per article 2 section 19 (g) and article 26 section 2 of the constitution. Article 2 section 19 (g) states that the Druk Gyalpo shall, by warrant under his hand and seal, appoint the Chairperson and members of the RCSC in accordance with section 2 of Article 26.
